William John Watkins (born 1942)〔Authorwars, (Bibliography: William John Watkins ) (accessed 24 Nov. 2012)〕 is a science fiction writer and poet.〔The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, pg 1302.〕 He was a member of the faculty of Brookdale Community College in New Jersey, from he is now retired.〔(William John Watkins, Author Bio and Work ) (accessed 24 Nov. 2012)〕 His middle-name is commonly written as "Jon." In the 1970s and 1980s he was known for novels, but in the last decade he has primarily been a poet.
